The students completed research on the country, Mali, located in the Northwestern part of Africa. So far we know that the President of Mali is Amadou Toumani. February, 2010.
The students researched, the geographical location, population, imports/exports and the languages spoken there. They talked about what they learned about Mali to Dr. Heller, the technology teacher who worked with our class. The web-site we used to complete our research was www.factmonster.com. One of our students' parents, Mr. Abdoulaye Ba, is from Mali and he came to our school to be interviewed by the students in our class. The students prepared for this day by writing down the questions they wanted answered by Mr. Ba. April, 2010.
Two students from our class, Aiche Ba and Loretta Kourouma worked with Dr. Heller and our teacher, Ms. Atkins by compiling our classe's research and the information from Mr. Ba's interview to create a video. This video will be showcased to our Principal, Dr. Lewis and several guests who will be attending our Technology Innovative Celebration in our library on Friday, June 1, 2010.
